Size is nowadays fairly standard, at about 30" in length.
Russell Wortley has an instrument which used to belong to Will Lawrence of Comberton, Cambridge, which has a length of 41" and is tuned lower than normal, in D rather than G.
Molly Whitaker plays a lovely little dulcimer, silver painted, which is the normal length, but some inches narrower than usual.
