the cover of Egerton 1139 BM Egerton 1139;
from the collection of notes about dulcimers left
at his death by Dr. Tobias Norlind; labelled 'Panum
Titel', but the illustration does not appear in the
English version of that work.
There are many interesting points of difference between this drawing and the original carving, not least King David's hands, the sticks, and the harp strings.
